BUS drivers are set to strike for a further five days First Dorset has said today.

The company said that it has received notification from Unite the Union, who represent drivers in Weymouth and Bridport, of it is intention to continue strike action with a further five days until Sunday, September 4.

It said the union has said there will be no industrial action today or on bank holiday Monday when it is running a Sunday service.

There will also be no strike action on Thursday, September 1.

First added that both parties are progressing towards agreeing terms of reference for binding arbitration.

Strike days have been taking place since June, as part of a long-running dispute over pay.
