There’s no slowing down as the summer becomes a distant memory - with many artistic shenanigans occurring in Weymouth and Portland this weekend.

n A MESMERISING display of light and sound will wow visitors to Weymouth this weekend.

Artist Ray Lee’s giant kinetic sculptures will be on display at Weymouth Pavilion forecourt as part of the Inside Out Dorset Festival and b-side festival 2016.

n LIVE music and crafts are on offer at the All Saints Music and Arts Festival tomorrow from 11am to 6pm.

All are welcome to the festival at the Wyke Regis school, which also includes a cider tent, barbecue, displays and a raffle.

Bands performing include Blazin’ Strings, The Omega Project, Under the Carousel and The Small Victories.

Admission is £3 for adults and children go free.

n THE third Bart’s Bash will take place at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy tomorrow from 8.30am to 5pm.

Held in memory of sailor Andrew Simpson, sailing clubs across the world will be raising money for the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation.

At the Osprey Quay venue you can watch sailors take part in the world’s largest sailing event.

The sailing race will begin at 1pm. Members of the British Sailing Team including Olympic medallists Hannah Mills, Saskia Clark and Nick Dempsey will join in the action on the water.

Following the race there will be sailing activities for children back at the academy.

n b-side festival continues on Portland until Sunday, with a host of art installations to challenge and inspire.

Tomorrow, join historian Pauline Crump and Artist Lee Berwick on a part bus, part walking tour of the buildings of Portland. Tickets cost £6. Book on the website. There will be guided tours of Culverwell Mesolithic Site in Portland Bill Road on Sunday from 2pm to 4.30pm.

Take part in a family workshop on Sunday at the Royal Manor Theatre in Fortuneswell.

Tim Spooner, creator of The Shambles, will be leading the workshop, which will be between 3pm and 4.30pm. It’s suitable for children aged five and above who are accompanied by an adult. Booking is essential.

Artist Sadie Hennessey is displaying Boombox, an installation in a Reliant Robin based upon her teenage diary written in 1982. Find the classic car at Portland Bill car park daily from 11am to 6pm until Sunday.

Be wowed by the closing event on Sunday featuring a parade of Reliant Robins starting at Chesil Beach car park at 11.30am and finishing at Portland Bill car park.
