1. Dorset Wildlife Trust is inviting people to enjoy tea and cake from the Taste* Cafe at the Chesil Beach Centre next month to find out more about the famous beach and wildlife.
On October 1 from 2pm to 3.30pm listen to a talk about the beach and its history and wildlife before enjoying a short walk to visit interesting spots.

2. Enjoy a guided stroll along the beach at Studland and discover wild food growing in the landscape that surrounds us before enjoying a feast full of the ingredients.
3. On October 7 at Knoll Beach from 11am to 2pm, visitors are being welcomed by National Trust to make the most of the bay before enjoying a wild food lunch cooked outside in a wood fire oven.
4. Try your hand at truffle hunting with dogs in the woods for a walk on the wild side.
Follow the hounds to find the edible treasure on October 1 from 10am to 4.30pm before learning more about truffles and enjoying lunch and afternoon tea sampling a truffle dish at Norburton Hall in Burton Bradstock.
The day is considered one of Countryfile Magazine’s top 10 foraging courses.

5. A Wild Foods Foraging Walk will be held at 10.30am tomorrow (Sunday September 25) with James Feaver of Hedgerow Harvest. Price £10.
