MENUS for the hotly anticipated FEAST festival of food in Weymouth have been revealed in the lead up to the biggest celebration of food in the town.

Starting on Monday, October 3, this year’s eight week dining event has even more variety and tasty offers to tempt you with chefs and owners working hard to make their menu stand out from the crowd.

From tempura prawns to a trio of sausages and mash and lunch menus including bacon rolls, ploughman’s, pizzas, seafood and gluten free wraps, organisers said there will be something for everyone.

Evening dining includes menus of linguine, pork belly, roasted parsnip soup and north African fish stew.

Jo Worsley, owner of The Kings Arms in Portesham, said: “We’ve watched the activity surrounding FEAST Weymouth from here in the village and we’ve participated as diners on more than one occasion.

“This year we really wanted to get involved and create our own FEAST menu.

“Although we are located just outside Weymouth, we have already had so much interest in our menu.

“We hope to see you in Portesham.”

Participants across Weymouth, and this year also including the pub in Portesham, have worked hard on their dishes to create offerings that are not only tasty but represent great value.

Andrew Cooke, owner of Ayya said: “We have made a great name for ourselves with our fully stocked bar specialising in top quality gins, Prosecco and pan Asian lagers.

“We’ve also worked hard over the past year to develop a new Japanese inspired burger bar within Ayya, looking to provide something new and different using 100 per cent freshly ground Wagyu beef and freshly baked Japanese Hokkaido rolls.

“We’ve been steadily growing this side of our business and we are delighted to offer our Hao Cow burgers to Weymouth’s FEASTers this year.”

On Saturday, October 1, a pop up kitchen will kick off FEAST Weymouth festivities in the heart of the town centre.

Local chefs will be demonstrating dishes from their FEAST menus and locals will get the chance to sample specific dishes from the FEAST menus.

The Stable’s very own ‘Flagon Wagon’ will be there to really get the party started providing entertainment.

A cooking class competition from Les Enfants Terrible is also up for grabs. The cooking gift experience consists of a two-person class under the guidance of chef Eric.

During his nearly 30 years of experience, Eric has been head chef in French, European and Asian kitchens.

Diners are encouraged to follow FEAST Weymouth on social media.

The FEAST Weymouth promotion will work with each participating venue providing a set-menu or offer within the price ranges of £5, £10, £15, £20 or £25 for customers to dine at their establishment throughout the month of October and until November 30. Each venue will have its own terms and conditions so diners are encouraged to call ahead and book.
