A road has been re-opened after emergency services dealt with a two-vehicle collision.
Police closed one lane on the A35, near the Bats Lane junction, this morning after the crash, which happened at 8.54am.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said two people received minor injuries.
The road was re-opened at 10am although traffic is still reported to be heavy in the area.
The cars involved were a purple Citroen Picasso, registered to a Dorchester woman, and a green Ford Fiesta, registered to a Bridport man.
The fire service was called to the scene shortly before 9am with crews from Dorchester attending.
They gave first aid and made the scene safe.
A spokesman for the South West Ambulance Service Trust said: "We were called at quarterto nine to reports that two cars had been invovled in a collision. There were two males in one car and one female in the other car.
"We sent a rapid response vehicle and a crew and officer, and all three casualties were treated at the scene."
