Police have published CCTV images following an alleged robbery in Bridport in the hope of tracking down two men.

Detectives investigating the alleged robbery have issued the pictures of two men they would like to speak to.

At around 3.55pm on Tuesday, August 30, it was reported that a man was walking along St Swithun's Road when he was approached by two men who threataned to assault him unless he handed over money.

It is alleged that as the victim removed his wallet one of the offenders took cash from it before the pair left the scene in a black Peugeot, containing a man and a woman.

The victim, a 21-year-old local man, was uninjured.

Detective Constable James Batty, of Weymouth CID, said: “As part of my investigation, I am now in a position to issue CCTV images of two men I would like to speak to.

"I am keen to identify them and would urge anyone who recognises them to please contact Dorset Police as I believe they may be able to help me with my investigation.”

A 22-year-old man from Dorchester and a 35-year-old woman from Wareham have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and have been released on police bail pending further enquiries until the end of October 2016.
