The A350 Holes Bay Road this morning
Emergency services were called to a crash involving a motorcyclist on the A350 Holes Bay Road this morning.
The incident occurred at around 7am at the junction of Sterte Avenue West.
Paramedics treated the male rider of the blue Yamaha motorbike and have taken him from the scene by land ambulance.
The extent of the man's injuries are not yet known.
The road was closed to southbound traffic but police have now reopened it.
It is not yet known if another vehicle was involved.
Bystanders have reported long tailbacks in both directions.
