RYANAIR launched their new winter base at Bournemouth Airport with their flights to Krakow yesterday.

The twice weekly service from Bournemouth to Krakow is part of the new winter schedule, which also includes three new winter services to Faro Gran Canaria and Malta.

Ryanair’s sales and marketing executive, Lisa Buckley said: “We are pleased to launch our new winter base at Bournemouth with one based aircraft, as well as our new twice weekly route to Krakow.

Bournemouth Airport’s managing director, Paul Knight said: “I am delighted to see Ryanair launch a new route to Poland.

"Ryanair has been closely linked with the airport for more than 20 years now and we look forward to welcoming passengers on these new flights to Krakow.

"I am confident that this addition to Ryanair's route network will be a great success and hope this will lead to more destinations in the future."

Rosemary, 61, and David Newill, 57, from Hordle, nr Lymington said: "We've never visited Krakow before, so we're looking forward to a few days exploring this historic city."

Chris Bonfield, 65, from Poole added: "We thought we'd take advantage of this new destination as we've never been to Poland before."
