Last week we wrote about being back to business as usual, but we are still coming down from our big festive interval. One thing we both want in 2017 is to be more healthy, but what does that actually mean?

For me, William, it’s about reaching and staying at a healthier weight, but also about getting fit for the future. I (Adam) am interested in having even energy levels and staying well. I caught a few bugs last year, so want to boost my immune system, which might help me fight them off!

So how do we get there? For starters we have both already introduced more fruit and vegetables in our meals. I (William) have stopped going out to buy cakes at night when I’m feeling a bit peckish. I now eat a banana instead. I think it’s going to take a lot of willpower but when I remember Adam saying he had a lot more energy after losing weight, and felt more confident, it spurs me on!

For me (Adam) I am eating more fruit and vegetables to help boost my immune system. I am making sure I get enough sleep and keep the room a healthy temperature. I even have a plan to stop worrying so much at night, as I always churn over mistakes that I think I’ve made during the day. From now on, every evening I am going to push out the bad stuff and let myself absorb the good things. I’m also going to pray to feel more empowered and ask to be guided through the next day. I believe this will help me worry less, which in turn will make me happier, fitter and healthier.

We’ll come back to this at the end of the year and let you know how we get on!
