A CYCLIST was injured when the passenger in a car deliberately pushed her off her bike, police said.
The victim suffered injuries to her left knee and arm. A spokesman for Sherborne Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "The result of this reckless action could have been far worse."
The incident happened on Tuesday, January 17 at 8.40pm on the A30 dual carriageway from Sherborne to Yeovil.
The spokesman said: "A passing vehicle slowed and the passenger in the vehicle deliberately pushed the cyclist off her cycle as they passed.
"The lady cyclist was wearing high visibility clothing and other safety devices, and was travelling along the A30 just before the turning for Nether Compton."
Witnesses or anyone with information are urged to get in touch with Dorset Police.
