DETECTIVES tracing a man with links to Weymouth following a stabbing in London say he has been located.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police issued an appeal stating they were keen to locate James Wall, 22, in connection with a stabbing in Mitcham on Friday night.

The London Ambulance Service and officers attended and found a 33-year-old woman with a stab wound to her leg. She was taken to a south London hospital and later discharged.

Wall is believed to be from the Tooting area, with connections to Weymouth.

Members of the public were warned not to approach Wall, but to call 999.

This afternoon, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that Wall had been located. They did not reveal where he had been found.
