THESE stunning images show a buzzard chasing a flock of starlings in the skies above Weymouth.
The pictures were captured by Fred Worth, from Dorchester, who has spotted the starlings above Lodmoor when he has been to Sainsburys in Weymouth the previous day.
He said: "I went to the park and ride car park the next day with my camera and by chance the buzzard appeared and started to chase the starlings."
The result was an amazing set of images showing the starlings' acrobatic display as the buzzard gave chase.
Earlier this year murmurating starlings at Shell Bay at Studland attracted dozens of visitors to watch their amazing manoeuvres.
It was believed that the large flock of starlings present this winter was possibly swollen by the birds escaping the cold snap in continental Europe.
