DO YOU have what it takes to beat The Chaser?

Star of the The Chase Mark 'The Beast' Labbett is heading to a Dorchester pub for a charity event to help launch its new interactive quiz.

The Sydney Arms is hosting a night of quiz fun on Sunday, March 5 with the chance to take on The Beast and sample its new quiz game.

At the same time the night will raise funds for a good cause with proceeds going to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

Mr Labbett will be arriving from 7pm, with the quiz getting underway at 8pm.

Lorraine Lovett from the Sydney Arms said that The Chase star will do a meet and great with fellow quizzers and will play along during the quiz.

There will also be a chance to try and beat 'The Chaser'.

Lorraine said she was delighted to hear Mr Labbett would be coming down to Dorchester to help launch the new quiz night as part of his role supporting Redtooth quizzes.

She said: "We are very lucky Mark said he will come down to us."

Lorraine said she hoped the appearance from Mr Labbett would help bring in a bumper crowd and said the pub was keen to raise as much as possible for its chosen cause, the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

She said the charity is one of the causes the venue regularly supports.

Following the launch, the interactive quizzes will be held at the Sydney Arms every Sunday evening.

Lorraine said she felt the quiz, which was the only one of its kind in the area, would "bring something new to Dorchester".

Star guest Mr Labbett has been featuring as a 'Chaser' on ITV daytime show The Chase since 2009, alongside presenter Bradley Walsh, and has earned the nickname of 'The Beast'.

Tickets to the quiz night at the Sydney Arms in Dorchester are free, with a donation to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance requested.

They can be picked up from the pub in Bridport Road or by contacting the venue on 01305 751696.
