AN ELDERLY man suffered ‘serious injuries’ when he fell off his motorbike.
The Dorset resident had been riding his motorised trike along the B3390 through Warmwell on Sunday morning when he came into difficulties.
Police officers said the man has serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
He fell off his white Yamaha on a bend just south of Warmwell leisure centre, heading towards Warmwell village.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “We received reports of a serious injury RTC at 11.16am on Sunday morning.
“The elderly gentleman came off his motorised trike, although there was nothing to show that any street furniture had been damaged and certainly nothing to suggest any other vehicles had been involved.”
He was transported to Dorset County Hospital, although the extent of the injuries are unknown.
The B3390 remained open whilst the emergency services dealt with the accident.
