THE pre-inquest review in to the death of a community stalwart was opened and adjourned yesterday.
Harold Daniels, 82, of Spindle Walk in Westhoughton, who was awarded an MBE, died after being hit by a car on June 4 2016.
The inquest was adjourned until the end of September as Callum Smedley is set to stand trial for causing Mr Daniels’ death by driving without due care or attention later this year.
