A ROAD rage incident in Dorchester town centre involving two cyclists and a car driver is being probed by police.

Two cyclists, wearing lycra and helmets, were involved in an "altercation" with a motorist driving a grey Audi A4.

It was reported that the motorist attempted to knock the cyclists off their bikes with his vehicle, causing one of them to hit another vehicle in the opposite lane.

The incident happened at around 2.30pm on Friday, April 7 2017 in High West Street. Police have only released the appeal today.

Officers are keen to speak to the cyclists involved in the incident or anyone who witnessed it.

PC Dermot Shanahan, of Dorchester police, said: “I am keen to speak to the two cyclists involved in this incident to get their accounts.

“I would also ask anyone who witnessed the incident who has not already spoken to police to please contact me.”
