A POPULAR village shop in west Dorset is haring into spring with its new display.
The Old Chapel Stores in Buckland Newton, has gathered a lot of interest in their window recently, thanks to the help of a local craft company.
Hare-Styles, a Dorset arts and crafts company, has provided countless detailed figurines for the window display.
Now, the store has gone from bunnies to mice as their Easter display changes to a May Day Fayre theme.
The them incorporates children dancing around a maypole and ‘The Wessex Morris Mice,’ with a 19th century setting.
Residents in the village can see The Wessex Morris Mice sporting their fiddler and accordion musicians, with one dressed as the Dorset Ooser wearing the famous ‘Ooser’ mask.
One of the mice is even dressed as a newspaper boy selling the Blackmore Vale Magazine.
The display is sponsored by Pinky’s Gluten Free shop in Sturminster Newton.
