A road was closed while emergency services tackled a caravan blaze.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said the road was closed earlier today at the junction of the C13 and the B3081 at Cann Common.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue were on scene tackling the fire, and police are assisted with road closures.
Police were called at 9.31am this morning and traffic control was in place on the C13 and the Compton Abbas airfield.
The road is still partially blocked but was fully closed until 11.35am when the northbound carriageway was re-opened for traffic. Lorries are being allowed through in both directions.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said the incident was originally reported as a building fire, but it was later confirmed to be a caravan, and the blaze spread to the garage.
The spokesman said: "We received a call from a member of the public at 9.36am to reports of a fire at a property in the Dinah's Hollow and Higher Blandford Road area.
"The latest update is the caravan fire has been put out, and we are making good progress on the garage fire. Crews will remain on scene dampening down and police have closed the road."
Two crews are on scene from Shaftesbury fire station and one from Gillingham. They used four sets of brething apparatus, three hose reel jets and one main line to tackle the blaze.
