POLICE are searching for an ex-prisoner who has gone missing after breaching the conditions of his licence.

Leon James Russell, 24, was released from prison on Tuesday, April 18 after serving a four year sentence for robbery.

Since his release Russell has breached the terms of his licence and a recall notice has been issued.

Dorset Police detectives are now trying to locate the man who was last known to be in the Weymouth area.

He is described as white, around five ft eight inches tall and of medium build with short blonde hair.

He has a tattoo on his neck.

Detective Sergeant Paul Auger, of Dorset Police, said: “I am releasing a photo of Leon Russell in the hope that someone will know of his whereabouts.

“He is known to frequent the Bournemouth and Weymouth areas.

“While we have no information to suggest that Russell presents a direct risk to the public, anyone who sees him should not approach him but immediately contact Dorset Police on 999.

“I would like to assure members of the public that officers are making every effort to find Leon Russell as soon as possible.”
