THE UK tour of David Walliams’ best-selling book, Gangsta Granny will be live at Lighthouse Poole this month staged by Birmingham Stage Company, the acclaimed producers of the Horrible Histories series.

It’s Friday night and Ben knows that means only one thing – staying with granny. There will be cabbage soup, cabbage pie and cabbage cake and Ben knows one thing for sure – it’s going to be sooooooooo boring!

But what Ben doesn’t know is that Granny has a secret – and Friday nights are about to get more exciting than he could possibly imagine, as he embarks on the adventure of a lifetime with his very own Gangsta Granny.

David Walliams is the creator of the ground-breaking comedy series Little Britain and a judge on Britain’s Got Talent. He is now a celebrated author and Gangsta Granny is his most popular book.

Ahead of the tour he said: “The great thing about seeing Gangsta Granny in the theatre is you will get to share it with an audience. So hopefully you will laugh and cry along with everyone else. That’s what makes theatre so special.”

Gangsta Granny is at the Lighthouse from Wednesday, May 24 to Sunday, May 28 from 10.30am, 11am, 2.30pm and 7pm. A free post-show talk follows the 10.30am performance on Friday. For more information, visit lighthousepoole.co.uk
