A kite surfer was rescued from Portland Harbour
Lifeboat crews rushed to help a kite surfer after she got into difficulty in the harbour on Saturday.
Weymouth RNLI Inshore lifeboat launched at 6:15pm to come to the aid of the surfer. Solent Coastguard helped the lifeboat to find her via radio.
A pair of paddle boarders were on scene looking after the surfer, who was taken onto the lifeboat with her kite.
She was uninjured, and taken to back to Ferry Bridge, where she had first launched.
The lifeboat returned to Weymouth Harbour at 7pm.
