A NEW loyalty card has been launched to help cancer suffers take more time for themselves.

House of Health and Beauty, located on Trinity Street in Dorchester, has launched the loyal card for Weldmar patients and families in efforts to encourage people affected by cancer to take more time to relax.

Holly Aiken, owner of House of Health and Beauty said: “The relationship with Weldmar is very important to me as my company ethos has always been about the wellbeing of the whole person and not just the beauty side of the business.

"I hope the discount card will help the families of patients at Weldmar by giving them some much needed support.

"I am very grateful to Clive Garman at Sherrens for donating the print of the 100 loyalty cards and also to Inked Engine who kindly designed the card for me."

This year House of Health and Beauty is celebrating 20 beautiful years in business by hosting a variety of events.

Holly said her business inspiration has always been her Dad, Peter, who sadly passed away 12 years ago.

The new loyalty card will be administered by Jo Sharkey, Weldmar’s children’s support worker, who will give the 20 per cent off discount cards to Weldmar patients and families who may benefit from a treatment at the House of Health and Beauty in Dorchester.

Jo said: ‘It is vital to recognise and work holistically with the whole family, as each person has individual needs at different times and different stages. It will be of great benefit for the adults to have some time for themselves and we are very grateful to Holly and her team.”

In April Holly supported a Easter event at the Joseph Weld Hospice for children that are, and have been supported by Jo Sharkey, Weldmar’s children’s support worker.

During the afternoon, family members were invited to have a treatment at the House of Health and Beauty free of charge from Holly’s team.
