THE ‘stunning’ beauty of Dorset is showcased in the shortlist for the Echo Camera Club May photography competition.

The theme of this month’s contest was The Natural World and our readers did not disappoint.

More than 130 images were submitted and this is the shortlist of 10 pictures.

The shortlisted images will now be presented back to the group who will vote for their winner.

The winning photographer will receive a £50 Castle Cameras Voucher to be spent in store or online at www.castlecameras.co.uk

Echo Camera Club Dorset has grown at an incredible rate and now has 1,081 members.

Corin Messer, head of digital imaging at the Dorset Echo’s sister paper the Bournemouth Daily Echo, runs the club.

He said: “The standard of photography displayed in Echo Camera Club Dorset on a daily basis is incredible. It is inspirational to see so many talented photographers showcasing the stunning beauty of Dorset.

“Narrowing the more than 130 pictures entered for this month’s competition to a shortlist of 10 was extremely tough. All of the photographers who entered should be proud of themselves, the standard was that high.”
