BLAZE: Crews were called to the fire on Sunday
A bench was torched in an arson attack.
Emergency services were called to a bench on fire on Short Road, Weymouth, this afternoon.
Police and fire crews were called to the blaze which is believed to be arson.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: "We were called at 2:18pm to a bench on fire.
"The police were also called as it was believed to be a deliberate act.
"An investigation was carried out at the scene, and passers by said they saw somebody start the fire."
Dorset Police say they will be making further enquiries into the attack.
