Police are warning residents and appealing for their help about a van which has reportedly been seen in suspicious circumstances over the last few days.
Dorset Police said that a White Ford Transit high top van N*57*KG has been seen close to rivers and rural premises near Dorchester.
It is believed the vehicle and its occupants have been involved in fish poaching and burglary, Dorset Police said.
They added that if anyone sees the vehicle, or any other vehicle, acting suspiciously, they should gather as much information as possible from it, including its registration number and descriptions of any drivers or passengers.
They should then contact Dorset Police immediately by calling 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111
