'Prolific' burglar jailed for more than six years

A prolific burglar has been jailed for more than six years following a string of offences in Weymouth. 

Jamie Spencer, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to three charges of burglary relating to offences on Dorchester Road on March 9 and on Brackendown Avenue on March 13, as well as a burglary in Yeovil.

The 44-year-old also asked for a further 13 burglary offences to be taken into consideration when sentenced – four in Yeovil and nine in Weymouth -which were committed between February 27 and March 13 this year.
