Commuters to Weymouth face long delays after a signalling problem closed five platforms at London Waterloo.
Connection to a set of signals outside Waterloo was lost early this morning, affecting control access to platforms 5 to 9 inclusive.
Without the connection the signals could not be controlled, and trains were unable to use the platforms.
South West Trains (SWT) has warned that services may be delayed, cancelled or altered, with disruption expected until around 3pm.
Trains travelling to and from Weymouth are currently facing delays of around three hours.
