Dorset is gearing up to welcome a host of cars new and old to one of its historic castles this weekend.

Two thousand motors will descend on Sherborne Castle for the return of its popular classic and supercar show.

Car enthusiasts and families can visit ‘Classics at the Castle’ and see the first automobile ever made, right through to the latest top-end model. Now in its 14th year, the show covers 35 acres of land at the castle, with displays throughout the weekend.

The line-up includes Beatle George Harrison’s 500 SEL AMG Mercedes plus a host of historic and classic vehicles.

Thousands of visitors flocked to last year’s show as car owners revved up their motors for the show. Displays this year will feature McLarens, Lamborghinis, Ferraris and more, with supercar tours arriving on both days.

Hundreds of individual and car clubs will show off their cherished classic cars, plus chain-driven vehicles from the 1900s on Saturday and Sunday.
