A NEW Post Office will open its doors in West Dorset next month.
The village of Charlton Down will see a brand-new branch open at WS Retail, Alder Court in Hawthorne road, at 1pm on Monday, August 21.
The new branch will be open from 6am until 10pm seven-days a week offering customers a range of retail services alongside Post Office transactions.
The Charlton Down branch is part of an ongoing programme of modernisation and investment in the Post Office services nationwide, particularly in community branches.
Lisa Jordan, network operations manager, said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.
“We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs. This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office".
