Thousands of people could be left out of pocket after the organisers of the Olly Murs concert went into administration.

The company, Stephen C Associates said in their statement yesterday that they would not be in a position to offer you a refund.

But there might be some good news for people who have lost money.

If people bought their ticket through BH Live, you can expect a full refund.

In a statement on BH Live's website, they said: "Due to unforseen circumstances this event has now been cancelled. We will be contacting ticket holders shortly to arrange a full refund.

"On behalf of ourselves and the show promoter please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused."

And advice from Ashtons Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners says if you have paid by credit card and the amount is more than £100, you're covered by the Consumer Credit Act.

Essentially this means you have the right to ask the credit card holder to refund you if the so-called 'goods' don't show up, or aren't as advertised.

Annoyingly, if you have paid by debit card, section 75 doesn't apply, but there is a bank scheme called 'chargeback', Ashtons say.

Under chargeback, you can ask the bank to get back your money if the goods you've ordered haven't turned up.

The bank will usually do this, but if the seller disputes the refund by producing a contract that they've fulfilled, then the dispute is between you and them.

Anyone unable to obtain a refund can contact the insolvency practitioner Herron Fisher, who are understood to have been appointed to assist the company in winding up their affairs.

You can lodge a claim with them as they are acting for the company.

But Ashtons warn: "Whilst the Directors have instructed Herron Fisher to act for the Company and as their choice of nominated liquidator it is up to the creditors to choose who they want as the Liquidator to deal with the winding up and the enquiries into the affairs of the Company and the conduct of its Directors."
