A motorist had a lucky escape after losing control of their car in the rain and hitting a barrier.
Police say the car hit a central reservation barrier on the A35 near the Puddletown junction just before 7pm today.
The driver escaped with no injuries.
Police were advising motorists to exit at Puddletown and rejoin the road after the roundabout whilst the road was closed.
The road has now reopened.
Dorset County Council Highways are currently working on the barrier.
Update: A35 blocked eastbound due to police dealing with an issue at Puddletown - traffic is being diverted via the slip roads.
