UPDATE: A missing Weymouth woman has been found safe and well.

Officers searching for missing Weymouth woman Penny Shrubb are pleased to say she has been located.

Penny was found in the Weymouth area earlier this afternoon, Monday, July 24.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal."

Speaking when the appeal was launched police said:

Penny Shrubb, who is 46, went missing from her home in Commercial Road at the weekend. It was believed she left the address overnight.

She is about five feet 10 inches tall, of large build and has blonde hair, which she usually wears up. She normally wears leggings and trainers.

Chief Inspector Bob Acaster, of Dorset Police, said: “We are very concerned for Penny’s welfare as she left a message with a friend indicating that she was very upset.

“Unfortunately, we do not know when she left her home, but she may have done so overnight. At this time we have no indication of where she may have gone.

“I am appealing for anyone who has seen Penny over the last couple of days to urgently contact us.

“If Penny sees this message, please get in touch. We want to make sure you are safe.”
