Police have re-arrested a woman in connection with the Guy Hegder murder investigation.

The 40-year-old of Poole has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and handling stolen goods and is currently assisting officers with enquiries.

She had been previously arrested on Tuesday, May 2 2017 on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary and had been released under investigation.

Mr Hedger, 61, was killed in the early hours of the morning on Sunday, April 30 2017 at his home in Castlewood, Ringwood, when he was shot after intruders reportedly entered his home.

Officers were called just after 3am reporting Mr Hedger had been shot with a shotgun. He was later pronounced dead shortly after arriving at hospital.

Kevin Downton, who is 40 and from Winterborne Stickland near Blandford, 41-year-old Jason Baccus and 44-year-old Scott Keeping, both of Verney Close in Bournemouth, are all charged with murder. They are next appearing at Winchester Crown Court tomorrow, Wednesday, July 26 2017.

A 39-year-old Bournemouth man and 45-year-old Poole man previously arrested in relation to the incident were released under investigation.

A full inquest into the death of businessman Guy Hedger will not be held until at least the end of November.

Mr Hedger, 61, a former marketing director at LV=, died of gunshot wounds to the torso after an incident at his home in Castlewood, Ringwood, in the early hours of Sunday, April 30.

Dorset coroner Rachael Griffin opened the inquest on May 8 and held a pre-inquest review yesterday.

She said she has received an update from police investigating Mr Hedger's death and that a trial is due to take place in November.

Mrs Griffin requested that an update be provided to the coroner's court by November 28 and said the inquest is adjourned to await the outcome of court proceedings.
