After months of anticipation Camp Bestival 2017 is well and truly underway.

The party has officially begun on the grounds of Lulworth Castle, with festival goers settled in and ready to enjoy the first day.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of Camp Bestival and as a result some very exciting acts will take to the stage over the weekend.

International pop star Mark Ronson is set to perform today. Ronson, is best known for his chart topping record Uptown Funk which enjoyed time at number 1 in 2014, and for his previous collaborations with artists including Amy Winehouse.

The 90s pop group All Saints will also join Ronson as a main act today. All Saints have only recently come back onto the music scene after breaking up in 2001. Fans will be pleased to hear hit records such as “Pure shores” as well as new songs from the group.

The festival will host a number of big names over the weekend including Madness, Brian Wilson, Leftfield, Kate Nash, Skream and performances from the tribute bands The Bootleg Beatles and The Smiths LTD.

There will also be events suitable for the whole family including a performance from the show School of Rock, and a performance from the famous CBBC presenters Dick and Dom.

The festival will also host World’s Biggest Bouncy Castle, The Insect Circus and lots of exciting food.

Festival goers should be aware that rain is expected over the weekend and a number of roads have been closed near the Lulworth Estate. Visit the Dorset Echo website for the full list of road closures.
