If you've missed the headlines this week, here's what's been making the news across Dorset:

  1. They may have got muddy but revellers at Camp Bestival had a fantastic time. It was the 10th anniversary of the event, held annually at Lulworth Castle. See all our pictures of the fun here. A policeman also became an internet sensation after he was filmed doing his 'dad dance' at the festival. Dorset Echo:

2. A man was left fighting for his life after falling through a skylight at a school. The man was carrying out maintenance work while the school was empty for the summer holidays. He was airlifted to Southampton Hospital for treatment.

3. The best and worst GP surgeries according to a patient survey were revealed. How did your surgery rate?

4. Ironman is returning to Weymouth in September...and so are the road closures. Organisers have vowed there will be no repeat of last year's chaos.

Dorset Echo:

5. Plans to redevelop Dorchester town centre have been given the thumbs up by councillors. The proposals involve building shops on Fairfield car park - but there was a warning that 'it's time to deliver' after failed schemes in the past.

6. A man has been banned from Weymouth. Darren Stuart Amor was handed the five-year order after police described how he flicked blood at a paramedic who was trying to help him.

Dorset Echo:

7. A climber had a lucky escape after falling from a cliff. Emergency services rushed to the scene at Cheyne Weares on Portland. The climber was taken to hospital but was not badly injured.
