Looking for new wheels?

Car enthusiasts have not just one but two chances to see all the latest makes and models thanks to the Dorset Echo NEW REG exhibition.

The first event takes place tomorrow at the Jubilee Clock on Weymouth Esplanade and NEW REG returns the following Saturday, August 26 at Brewery Square in Dorchester. Both exhibitions run from 9am to 5pm.

And car retailers are revving up with excitement at getting involved.

The exhibitors include Westerly BMW, Dorchester, Lanehouse Vauxhall, Weymouth and Bridport, Purbeck MG, part of the Wool & Bovington Motors Group, Lanehouse Suzuki, Weymouth and Chesil Beach Motors, Weymouth and Portland.

Dominic Avery, sales manager at Lanehouse Vauxhall, said: “The show is always very popular with local motorists and it just seems to get bigger and better every year. It’s the ideal place for anyone in the market for a new car as it allows you to see the latest models and designs all under one roof.”

Many of the latest makes and models will be on display.

Stuart Mckenzie, sales manager at Lanehouse Suzuki, said: “We are delighted to showcase the very best of the Suzuki range. We will be bringing the Suzuki Swift along to Brewery Square, and our very popular Suzuki Vitara to Weymouth Esplanade and look forward to meeting you.”

Dave England, dealer principal at Chesil Beach Motors, added: “We are proud to be displaying the all new Ford Fiesta at the Dorset Echo New Reg event on Weymouth Esplanade, join us and experience first-hand just how far Ford has come.”

And Tim Pyne, group sales director at Purbeck MG said: “We are proud to be able to bring the MG brand to local events such as these so the public can experience the cars first hand in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and hopefully in the summer sunshine.”

Robin Keene, sales manager at Westerly BMW, said: “We’d love to see as many people there on the day as possible; current, old and new customers alike.”
