A man has been charged in connection with a serious road traffic collision.
A 59-year-old man from Sherborne has been charged with driving without due care and attention and will appear at Weymouth Magistrates Court on Tuesday, August 22.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said: "The collision occurred at around 1.45pm on Monday 9 January 2017 on the A30 at Babylon Hill, just before the Peel Centre retail park. It involved a black BMW and a white Jinan Qingqi motorcycle."
The motorcyclist, a 28-year-old man suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash, including a fractured neck, back and a punctured lung.
