Emergency services were called to a collision involving a car and a moped. 

The collision occurred at Chalbury Corner roundabout on Littlemoor Road, Preston. 

Police and ambulances services were called to the scene.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 1.44pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a moped-type scooter. 

"The ambulance service has been informed."

The road was partially blocked due to the collision, and traffic was reportedly moving slowly in the area.

It has since been cleared and traffic is returning to normal. 

A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 1.38pm.

"There was one male casualty, on the moped, with a shoulder injury. 

"He was taken to Weymouth Community Hospital for treatment."
