Dorset Police have released further CCTV footage in their appeal following an assault in Swanage.

The incident happened at around 2.30am on Friday, August 4 near to the Methodist Church on High Street.

Three local men aged 19, 34 and 51 were assaulted by another group of men after an argument broke out.

The assault resulted in the 51-year-old man being taken to hospital for stitches after sustaining head injuries while the two other victims suffered minor injuries, The offenders are all described as white and aged in their early 20s.

Detective Constable Siobhan Lovering, of Weymouth CID, said police now have ‘better quality CCTV images.’

He said: “As part of our investigation into this assault we have spoken to a number of witnesses and issued CCTV images of three men we are keen to identify.  “I have since obtained better quality CCTV images of these three men and am issuing them in the hope that someone may recognise them.

“I would ask the men pictured or anyone who knows who they are to please contact Dorset Police as I believe they may be able to assist my investigation.

“I am also appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident who has not already spoken to officers, or who has any other information that could assist us with identifying the offenders, to please contact Dorset Police."
