Menus for a spectacular eight-week FEAST are being finalised.

FEAST Weymouth celebrates independent and businesses in the Weymouth and the surrounding areas.

The festival will be coming to the town this October and November and is supported by Weymouth BID.

It has grown in popularity over the past four years so this year is promising to be bigger and better, with FEAST cocktails being introduced.

Venues as far as Portland and Portesham are now involved in the eclectic mix and diners are encouraged to leave the comfort of their homes and venture into Weymouth, Portland and Portesham to try out new eateries, which are traditionally quiet months for town centres.

Bob Rezaei, owner of Crustacean said: “Our menu has now been finalised and I am very proud that our FEAST menu offers huge choice with over 10 main dishes to choose from.

"All will be revealed soon when the menus are released later in September. FEAST Weymouth is a great event to help fill the gap between a busy summer and Christmas. We can’t wait for it to begin.”

Michelle Harrison from The Hayloft Café & Bar added: “We have heard such great things about FEAST Weymouth and we are delighted to be involved this year. Following such a busy summer, The Hayloft naturally slows down a little in the autumn and winter months – so having an event like FEAST is great. We look forward to revealing our menu soon and to welcoming 'feasters' to Portland this year.”

Menus will be revealed on Wednesday, September 20 and on Sunday, October 1 there will be a pop up FEASTival kitchen in hope square with chef demonstrations from Nigel Bloxham, owner of the Crab House Café and Billy Winter’s, Taher Jibet from The Secret Chef, Adam Foster, owner of Sea Beats, plus cocktail demonstrations from Mallams and Ayya and a special sausage-making demonstration from Dennis at The Fantastic Sausage Factory.

The FEAST Weymouth promotion will work with each participating venue providing a set-menu or offer within the price ranges of £5, £10, £15, £20 or £25 for customers to dine at their establishment throughout the month of October and until November 30.

Participating eateries include: 1652 Coffee Bar, Mallams, Actors Bar, Sea Beats, Al Molo, Shalims Balti House, Ayya, The Red Lion, Bennetts Fish & Chips, The Crow’s Nest, Billy Winter’s, The Kings Arms in Portesham, Café Oasis, The Monkey’s Fist, Chilli’s Indian Restaurant, The New Inn on Portland, Crustacean, The Nothe Tavern, Delicious, The Hotel Rex & Restaurant, Fish & Fritz, The Hix Academy, Good Life Café, The Hayloft Café & Bar, The Rendezvous, The Gloucester, Les Enfants Terribles, The Spice Ship and The Stable.
