Discover the hidden inland tracks while putting your legs to the ultimate test with the Lulworth off-road bike challenge.

Running for the second year, the Lulworth Off-Road Bike Ride is a challenging and exhilarating day for cycle enthusiasts organised by outdoor adventure specialists, Lulworth Outdoors.

The ride allows both amateur and experienced riders to enjoy some of the Jurassic Coast’s most stunning views and experience exclusive and hidden inland tracks and bridal ways within the Lulworth Estate.

The coastal element of the course takes in panoramic views along the coast towards Weymouth and Swyre Head, the highest point of the Purbeck Hills and the Isle of Purbeck.

Inland, riders will see beautiful 17th century follies, the estate lake and will start the course outside the fairy tale Lulworth Castle.

Run in association with British Cycling, Lulworth Off-Road is ridable in around seven hours on mountain and cyclo-x bikes and participants can select from three course lengths of two ride levels: 24km, 47km or 59km.

The shorter two routes involve easy riding whereas the longest route is a red grade trail with technical elements including a steep descent, thick mud and a rock garden. The shorter routes are suitable for families, including children from the age of 12 and up.

There will also be well-stocked water stations, bike wash facilities, mechanical support around the route and flapjacks to keep everyone’s energy levels up.

Bike hire is also available if booked in advance.
