Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses following two tractor thefts in west Dorset. 

The first theft occurred overnight sometime between 5pm on Saturday, September 16 and 10am on Sunday, September 17.

A blue New Holland compact tractor was stolen from a farm near Buckland Newton.

It was stolen from within a barn without the keys.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police quoting crime number 55170144963.

The second theft happened sometime between 11.15pm and 11.30pm on Saturday, September 16.

The vintage tractor was a 1968 Ford 4000 with a registration of SKK937G which was again stolen without keys.

The tractor has a brass plate on the rear left side saying “Supplied by Hayes, Maidstone, Kent”

Anyone with information in regards to this theft is asked to contact police quoting crime number 55170145553.

Businesses and farmers in the area are also being asked to review any CCTV footage.

Any suspicious vehicles should also be reported to the police.
