Are you ready to tuck in for an eight-week FEAST spectacular?

Next week sees the return of FEAST Weymouth which works to celebrate and support independent businesses in the borough and surrounding areas during the quieter period of the year.

It launches this Sunday with chef demonstrations in Hope Square.

Held between Monday, October 2 and Thursday, November 30, this year’s event involves many restaurants, cafés, bars and grills offering set menus priced between £5 and £25.

From steak to salmon, scones to sandwiches and pastries to pasta there’s something to suit every diner.

The festival is supported by Weymouth BID and has grown in popularity over the past four years - and this year sees a new twist to the festival with FEAST cocktails being introduced.

Venues as far as Portland and Portesham are now involved in the eclectic mix and diners are encouraged to leave the comfort of their homes and venture into Weymouth, Portland and Portesham to try out new eateries, which are traditionally quiet months for town centres.

This Sunday (1) there will be a pop up FEASTival kitchen in Hope Square, courtesy of Dorset Farmers Market, from 10am to 4pm.

Local chefs and mixologists will tantalise taste buds with wonderful food and cocktail demonstrations – all a hint of what’s to come in this year’s FEAST dining event.

Dennis Spurr of the Fantastic Sausage Factory in St Mary Street will be introducing ‘Hog-In-A-Box’, Carl from Delicious in St Alban Street will be talking cheese and wine and Mallams mixologist CJ is set to educate the crowds on the classic Martini, whilst mixing up some tasty cocktails.
