A man has been charged in connection with an alleged assault in north Dorset.
It was reported that a man in his 40s was assaulted while walking his dog in the area of Chantry Fields in Gillingham outside a Waitrose store at around 5.45pm on Tuesday, May 30.
He was allegedly punched in the face by another man, causing a laceration to his bottom lip.
A 43-year-old man from Shaftesbury has been charged with assault and is due to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 30.
