Coastguards visited a local forum to talk about how their role has changed over the years.
A team from West Bay Coastguard Rescue visited the West Bay Community Forum at Salt House, West Bay on Thursday to give a presentation to a packed audience.
Crews spoke about how the coastguard role has developed into a modern day emergency service, focusing on the work carried out by the West Bay team and incidents they have attended.
They also described the training they receive and the work they do within the community.
If your local group, school or youth organisation would like to have a visit from the Coastguard team they would love to hear from you. Contact them by messaging ‘West Bay Coastguard’ on Facebook or by emailing westbaycoastguard@icloud.com.
