Be afraid, be very afraid as tickets are now on sale for Dorchester’s most spooktacular event.
Prepare for a scare and celebrate Hallowe’en in style at Wholly Ghosts’ evening of ghoulish goings-on.
Dorchester town crier and ghost-expert extraordinaire, Alistair ‘Creepy’ Chisholm will be cooking up a cauldron full of eerie entertainment and regaling guests with some of the most macabre and blood-chilling tales from Dorchester’s history.
But keep your wits about you as the event will be held at the notoriously haunted Old Tea House on High West Street.
Built in 1635, the Old Tea House is one of Dorchester’s oldest houses with many secrets hidden in its walls.
This site is also a favourite place for the paranormal and spiritual studies.
If you’re not too petrified, teams of four can participate in a Halloween quiz to test your knowledge of the nonsensical and the supernatural.
Feeling brave? Then take your chances with the cauldron raffle.
You’ll need nerves of steel to make it through the evening as Andy Worth will be organising a whole host of ‘ghostly goings-on’.
But keeping in the spooky spirit, details of the event they shall remain a mystery .
A light buffet of terrifying treats will be served up during the evening.
Tickets are £10 and all proceeds will go to Mind West Dorset, which aims to help people to cope with mental health problems and rebuild their lives.
Funds will also go to Dorchester Community Radio.
The evening of alarming activities will kick off at 7pm on Monday, October 30 and carry on until the witching hour.
