A man arrested in connection with a reported assault in Wareham has been released without charge.

Officers were called to reports of a disturbance at an address in Brixey’s Lane at 8.23pm on Monday, September 18. 


A 41-year-old sustained stab wounds to his legs and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been released from hospital.

A 27-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and has now been released without charge.

A statement from Dorset Police said: "No further arrests has been made at this stage and enquiries are continuing."
