Pothecary Gin will be providing the perfect tipple for celebrations at this year’s Dorset Business Awards as sponsors of a gift bottle for each finalist.

Launched in 2016 by Dorset-based distillery Soapbox Spirits Ltd, founders Lukasz Dwornik and Martin Jennings, have taken the global drinks industry by storm.

Pothecary Gin was awarded Double Gold at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2016, as well as Silver Outstanding in the Gin category and Silver in the Gin and Tonic group, at the International Wine and Spirit Competition 2016.

This year saw the company take home the prized UK Winner of World Drinks Award - Contemporary Gin category 2017.

Lukasz Dwornik, co-founder of Pothecary Gin, said: “I’m passionate about Dorset and proud of the entrepreneurial spirit the area has. We take great pleasure in promoting its achievements UK-wide and internationally. It’s an honour to be associated with other local businesses and celebrating what is the highlight of the county’s business calendar.”

The first of two events, the Meet the Finalists drinks reception sponsored by PKF Francis Clark, will be held on Monday, November 6 at The Italian Villa in Poole, and will bring together finalists and award sponsors to celebrate business achievement in Dorset.

The winners of each award will then be announced at the Gala Dinner Awards ceremony at the Bournemouth International Centre on Thursday, November 23.

Stuart Dixon, head of marketing and communications and organiser of the awards from Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: “Epitomising the strength of business excellence in Dorset, Pothecary Gin’s achievements on the international drinks market make them an esteemed sponsor by gifting each finalist with an award-winning bottle, at the Gala Dinner Awards ceremony in November.

‘‘The 2017 Dorset Business Awards represent the dynamism and variety of the county’s thriving business community, and has been the perfect opportunity to celebrate and recognise employees and companies’ accomplishments since its inception 23 years ago.”
