*YOUNG stage stars are putting on a classic British musical comedy this weekend.

You can catch a performance of WOW Youth Musical Theatre's Me and My Girl at Weymouth Pavilion tonight, tomorrow (11) afternoon and tomorrow evening.

Set in the late 1930s, Me and My Girl tells the story of working class cockney lad Bill Snibson, who has a chance to live the high life after he learns he is the long-lost heir to the Earl of Hareford. Will he have to ditch his cockney girlfriend, though, to please the stuck-up aristocrats who don't think she'll make the grade? Performances are at 7.30pm and 2.30pm. Call Weymouth Pavilion box office for tickets.

*WITH many Remembrance services taking place across Dorset this weekend, these sentiments will be combined with music for a special concert at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis tomorrow. (11)

We’ll Meet Again features the fabulous 17-piece Swing Unlimited Big Band. With war-time classics by Glenn Miller, Count Basie and Duke Ellington, as well as songs by Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra, the show re-creates the period with images, words and music. Call the Marine Theatre box office for tickets.

*SNAP up some Christmas bargains at Sculpture by the Lakes' Christmas Fair between 10am and 4pm tomorrow. (11)

On sale will be clothes, skincare, wood sculptures and more. There is no charge for fair admission. Entrance fee to Sculpture by the Lakes is £10.

*SEE a story at Briantspuddle Village Hall that is begging to be told.
Mata Hari was the most notorious female spy in history. Or was she? Find out more tomorrow (11) evening at 7.30pm when performer Katharine Mary gives a powerful portrayal of a compelling woman, said to be the world's first femme fatale! Call 01929 471002 for tickets.

*IF you fancy watching some stunning guitar playing then look no further than a concert from Eduardo Niebla at Portesham Village Hall tomorrow (11) evening and at Cerne Abbas Village Hall on Sunday evening.

Virtuoso Spanish guitarist Eduardo makes music that transcends genres and crosses barriers; brilliant flamenco jazz fusion, exquisitely performed and full of passion and verve.

Both performance times are at 7.30pm. Call 01305 871035 for tickets.
*LOTS of high-quality homemade crafts will be on offer at Winfrith Newburgh Village Hall tomorrow (11) between 11am and 4pm.

The Fair is organised by the Winfrith Crafters, who aim to encourage crafting locally, so while half of the items will have been created by The Winfrith Crafters, the other half will come from very local craftworkers.

Homemade refreshments will be on offer too, including soup and bread if you want lunch there.

*THERE'S family theatre to look forward to on Sunday afternoon in Dorchester.

Peter and the Wolf will be performed at the Corn Exchange in two performances at 2pm and 4.30pm.

With new music lovingly inspired by Prokofiev’s classic, this is Peter and the Wolf as you’ve never seen it before. Created live with a variety of instruments and objects, including real musical vegetables, the show will have children ages four and above jumping for joy. Call Dorchester Arts or Dorchester TIC for tickets.
