A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a crash between a car and a motorbike on Preston Road.
The road was blocked after a Gilera Runner motorbike was involved in an accident with a black Peugeot 206 this morning.
A man, who was riding the motorbike, was taken to hospital with minor injuries including cuts to his legs.
Police and ambulance crews attended.
A spokesperson for South West Ambulance Service said they received a call at 8.19am to reports of an RTC involving a car and a motorbike.
"We attended with one ambulance and there was one male patient, on the bike with minor injuries. The patient was taken to Dorset County Hospital for treatment," they said.
A statement from Dorset Police said: "We were called by ambulance service at 8.26am today to reports of RTC on Preston Road, Weymouth, involving a black Peugeot 206 registered to woman from Weymouth and a Gilera Runner registered to a woman from Weymouth.
"Injuries are not believed to be serious. Motorcyclist sustained cuts to leg and has been taken to Dorset County Hospital for treatment."
The road has since reopened.
